This page will guide you through downloading BootMed, burning it to a CD and then booting your computer up to it.

  1. Go to the download page and download BootMed.
  2. Next you need to burn BootMed to a CD.  In Windows 7 you can simply insert a blank CD, right click on the file you downloaded and select ”Burn Disk Image,” then click “Burn”.  If you do not have Windows 7 or would like more information, just read this tutorial.
  3. Lastly, you need to insert the BootMed CD you created into the computer you want to use BootMed on and then turn that computer on.  Your computer should boot up to BootMed automatically, however if it does not boot up from the CD you will need to change the boot order in Bios.  Just follow these instructions to do so: http://www.hiren.info/pages/bios-boot-cdrom.

That’s it.  You can now go to the tutorials page begin using BootMed.

the downloaded file is ZIP compressed, so you have to extract it first before burning it.
